Garbagalore

Door-to-door garbage collection: (defn.) Pick up garbage at one house, further down the road, strew it on the ground. The collector serves a life sentence of hard labour manually pushing the garbage filled cart ( who says Bangalore isn't going back to the Dark Ages?) Earlier it was night soil collection, now its garbage collection.

Garbage waits more patiently than man for clearance!

The pavement is sinking on D' Souza Road.

The edge of the jutting paving slabs offers a free lifetime guarantee of pain after you trip.
The pavement by the side of Beijing Bites on Hayes Road, a huge yawning gap waits to deliver an 'alligator bite'

Earth piled up for several months on the pavement blocks the free movement of pedestrians while it slowly seeps into the storm water drain.
Its a balancing act for pedestrians who have to teeter on randomly tossed slabs, while dodging vehicular traffic

Floods- A reason why they occur!

The reason why such floods can occur even on major roads of Bangalore. A narrow and shallow stormwater drain is being constructed on M.G. Road at Trinity Circle. When will the corporation learn? They still lack depth of vision!!
Overflowing Vrushabhavathi

This isn't a scene depicting rapids for whitewater rafting. It is the overflowing Vrushabhavathi near Mysore Road, one of the main valleys of Bangalore where sewage and stormwater goes from Bangalore. Definitely not the place to do whitewater rafting!

Torrential rains flood Bangalore

Torrential rains lashed Bangalore over a couple of days, exposing all the loopholes in its infrastructure. Roads and houses collapse, drains overflow... The list continues.. The wettest month over several years is no excuse for the political establishment which bickers within itself while bedraggled residents throw another scoop of water out of their flooded homes and offices in low-lying areas of Bangalore.
The bogged down residents maybe cut off from rest of civilization but they can't log off from Bangalore like IT companies.

Pai Layout on Old Madras Road
Cars crushed in 'mini' lanslide

Several cars located in the parking lot of Shanti Apartments Jayanagar were crushed when the compound wall of a park acting as a retaining wall collapsed along with the earth it was holding back.
Benaganahalli Kere

'Kere' means lake in Kannada which is the local language. The whole of Bangalore nearly turned into a giant lake. Several apartments basement parking lots were flooded damaging several cars.

Bangalore-Mysore Highway

If you think that the helping hand comes free of cost, think again! In Bangalore, many areas witnessed enterprising people charging for pushing a car, lending a helping hand- an economy that works all the time!
